How Our Nitrous Oxide Production Process Works

Modern nitrous oxide manufacturing begins by heating ammonium nitrate at approximately 250°C. This controlled reaction releases nitrous oxide and steam, along with trace impurities. The gas then passes through multiple purification towers—using water, caustic soda, and sulfuric acid—to remove all unwanted impurities.

After purification, the gas is compressed, dried, and liquefied. The final product is stored in insulated vessels and filled into cylinders by weight. This streamlined workflow allows each nitrous oxide plant to maintain consistent quality throughout the entire nitrous oxide production cycle.
