In 1999, the group established Indiacar.com, an automobile portal linking over 1200 automobile dealers to enable customers to obtain best-deal prices on cars, two-wheelers, car finance, insurance, accessories, warranty and spare parts. In 2000, Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd. took up a strategic equity stake in the company. Indiacar.com has become the largest and most frequented automobile site in Indian cyberspace and is establishing a national used car distribution network in the bricks-and-mortar world.
